What a nice day!
What a nice day we are having today weather wise. They say we are going to reach the mid to upper 50’s with light winds, guess a guy is going to have to get the fishing rod out after work.
Happy Easter
We will be closing today at noon so our staff can be with their families and attend Good Friday services. We will reopen with our normal shop hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM next Monday April 13th. All of us at Loon Lake wish you a safe and happy Easter.
Goldfinches
The Goldfinch males have really started to molt to their summer feathers the last few days. You can see it the picture below though he is in the shade that their brilliant yellow colors that give them their name are soon to be back for the summer. This guys was at my feeder just a few minutes ago and if you look close at his head you can see that a couple of his dull winter feathers are about to fall out.
